Abstract
Interest in video portals is very high among children and young people. According to the JIM Study 2014, 81% of 12- to 19-year-old boys and 68% of girls use video portals daily or several times a week (MPFS 2014: 28). Especially popular are videos created by "YouTubers" or "vloggers" (video bloggers), who are now as famous as stars from music, sport, film and television. Digital videos are created by 11% of young people daily or several times a week (MPFS 2014: 11). These self-created videos are regularly shared publicly by 3% of the young people ("have in the last 14 days ..."), which corresponds roughly to the frequency of blogging or tweeting (MPFS 2014: 30).Most read articles by the same author(s)
