Abstract

The study programme "Accompanying Studies in Problem Solving Competence" at the University of Augsburg enables the integration of students' extra-curricular learning and work achievements into formal university studies through the use of e-portfolios. In this paper, we first present the context of the study programme and discuss the basic didactic idea of promoting key competences. Then we show how reflection on the experiences in the self-organised projects of the accompanying studies is supported and combined with assessment that promotes learning. Against this background, we explain the purpose of using portfolios in the context of the accompanying studies and introduce the software "e³-Portfolio". The subsequent user scenario illustrates how the portfolio software is used in practice and an overview of the evaluation results to date shows the need for further development of the study offer and the software solution. In this context, we discuss the current state of implementation and show which assessment criteria and feedback processes currently play a role and should be realised in the future.
