Abstract

The article shows the use of e-portfolios in the qualification of pedagogical professionals in vocational education. The theory of self-reflection, critical thinking and conceptual change are used as a reference. Possibilities are shown how e-portfolios can also be used in restrictive settings. So far, the literature is dominated by the use of e-portfolios in schools or in teacher education. Restrictive settings are settings that open up only short periods of time for formal learning, are associated with heterogeneous target groups, and in some cases have unfavourable motivational and cognitive starting conditions. The results presented here are based on the development, testing and research of such a setting, namely the testing of a qualification concept for educational professionals in retail.
