Abstract

For decades, Otto-von-Guericke-University has had a department for academic continuing education. Johannes Fromme was head of this department for over 20 years. The article deals retrospectively with the cooperation between the chair holder and the department. Some of the challenges of recent years, such as the Bologna process, are discussed. In this context, Johannes Fromme‘s services to securing the existence and further development of academic continuing education are acknowledged.
