Abstract
Although computers are available for teaching and learning in many schools today, the devices are only used relatively rarely. There are hurdles not only in technology, user knowledge and school organisation, but also in media didactic and media pedagogical core competences. For further training in this area, concrete and practical examples are needed of how computers can be used meaningfully in the subject lessons. One promising approach is to work with instructional videos. The special potentials are discussed and a Swiss project is presented.
