Abstract

The project focuses on the contribution that new media make to shaping a so-called new teaching-learning culture. The promotion of learning and the development of media competence of the pupils as well as the strengthening of media pedagogical competence of the teachers play a central role. Partners in the project "Schule interaktiv" are four secondary schools (one middle school, two grammar schools and one integrated comprehensive school) in the federal states of Saxony, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia, the Deutsche Telekom Foundation and the Department of Education and Technology at the Institute for General and Vocational Education at Darmstadt Technical University. "Schule interaktiv" sees itself as a school development project and aims to change standard teaching in all subjects and grades. The whole school is addressed, which has explicit leeway to follow its own path.
