Abstract
Today, "Web 2.0" and "social media" are no longer considered foreign terminology from the jargon of computer science. These technologies have already found their way into everyday life and professional life - whether as wiki, podcast, video exchange platform YouTube or networking platform StudiVZ or Facebook, and they are constantly being expanded by new offers, such as currently Ning, as a platform for creating an individually adapted social network. These technologies are taken up by young people and contribute significantly to a change in individual lifeworlds. Digital media are once again seen as having a high potential for teaching and learning processes and are associated with the hope of achieving innovations for teaching and learning.
