Abstract

Based on the current situation of (chemistry) teacher training and against the background of new educational standards, a training model is presented that is being tested at the Chemistry Teacher Training Centre of the University of Frankfurt. The central element is blended learning courses that are being developed as part of a project to improve media competence ("Lehr@mt"). An evaluation is being carried out through questionnaires and interviews. Initial experiences already allow statements to be made about the acceptance and necessity of the offer. Based on the results, a model for the acquisition of media competence is to be developed exemplarily for chemistry teachers, which is oriented towards the educational standards.
